Brass and Ivory

Christopher Molyneaux has loved music from a very young age. He began singing and playing piano by ear after hearing “Free Falling” by Tom Petty on the radio when he was 9 years old.

He has since picked up the alto and tenor saxophones, playing for the St Clair Secondary School Senior Band, St Clair Jazz Band and the Lambton County Honours Jazz Band. He was thrilled to be a part of Humber College’s Jazz Workshop in July 2011 and has continued to practice at Humber through 2012.

Chris has performed at numerous events for charity, including Rock for Hope, the Autism Gala, and Music in the Gardens. He has played the national anthem before local football and rugby games and Sarnia Sting hockey. He also enjoys performing for wedding ceremony and receptions and weekly at Rondo’s Bar and Eatery in Bright’s Grove.

Christopher loves musical theatre and stage performance and doesn’t spend more than a few months between rehearsals for his next production. He has been involved with Crazy for You, Nightingale Chorus, Godspell, An Evening with Queen, Cinderella, The Drowsy Chaperone, Ester, and Showtime Theatre Camp.

Crazy for You

CRAZY FOR YOU is the story of Bobby Child, a well-to-do 1930's playboy, who's dream in life is to dance. And despite the serious efforts of his mother and soon-to-be-ex-fiancee, Bobby achieves his dream! Memorable Gershwin tunes include I Can't Be Bothered Now, Bidin' My Time, I Got Rhythm, Naughty Baby, They Can't Take That Away from Me, But Not for Me, Nice Work if You Can Get It, Embraceable You and Someone to Watch Over Me. It's a high energy comedy which includes mistaken identity, plot twists, fabulous dance numbers and classic Gershwin music.
